Southern Illinois Electric Co-Op

Southern Illinois Electric Cooperative (SIEC) is the electric distribution cooperative serving homes and businesses in southernmost Illinois. Our 11,300 meters (8,500 plus members) are located in Alexander, Johnson, Massac, Pope, Pulaski and Union Counties. SIEC is a not-for-profit cooperative, which is part of the largest network of electric utilities in the nation. SIEC is member-owned, locally controlled and prides itself on quality service at competitive rates. SIEC is part of the nationwide network of electric cooperatives associated with Touchstone Energy. SIEC currently employs 37 people, energizes 2,108 miles of line, has an average of 5.5 members per mile of line, and its source of wholesale power is from Southern Illinois Power Cooperative.

Fort Massac Water District

With a customer base of just under 2400 customers, we serve the rural areas of Massac, Pope, Pulaski and Johnson counties. Our goal is to provide you with superior water, fast and efficient service and excellent customer service. The District’s business office is located in Massac County at 813 Joppa Road, Metropolis, IL 62960.
