OUR HISTORY
Since 1972, Metropolis has been known as the “HOME OF SUPERMAN”. Metropolis is located at the very southern tip of Illinois. Metropolis Area Chamber of Commerce not only serves as the voice for member businesses, representing, advocating and working to enhance the businesses and civic environment, but also is your “Welcome Center” for the city of Metropolis.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Metropolis Area Chamber of Commerce is to make Metropolis a better place to live, work, and do business. The Metropolis Area Chamber serves as the voice for member businesses, representing, advocating and working to enhance the business and civic environment.
We offer partnerships with other local organizations, networking, leadership development and legislative advocacy. We also host a number of special events provide our members the opportunity to communicate with other Chamber members.
